Interesting fact:

The word ratatouille derives from the Occitan ratathola and is related to the French ratouiller and tatouiller, expressive forms of the verb touiller, meaning “to stir up”. From the late 18th century, in French, it merely indicated a coarse stew.

Ravioli Cooking & Preservation Instructions

  • Warm sauce in a small saucepan.
  • Bring 3 qts of water to a boil. Add one tablespoon of salt.
  • Cook for 3 minutes for al dente. Remove gently with a slotted spoon.
  • Toss into the sauce and sprinkle with a little Parmesan cheese.

If you don’t plan to use that night, you should freeze them immediately to preserve quality. Sometimes they shift during delivery, so if you are going to freeze them, make sure they are not overlapping.

When cooking frozen ravioli, do not thaw to cook, just add two minutes to the cooking time, and be careful not to overcook.
